For those unfamiliar with the American political landscape, the name Liz Cheney may not ring any bells. To be fair, with so many public figures in the spotlight these days and more scandals than ever coming to light, it’s understandable if some have forgotten about some of the smaller players in politics. You may have seen her face, but you cannot quote her. You may only know her from her dad’s name. Even for those who know her well, it might surprise you to hear that Cheney is currently running for Congress—but JUST failed miserably. Let’s take a look at why Liz Cheney’s campaign has fallen into political obscurity.
Who is Liz Cheney?
Liz Cheney is the eldest daughter of former Vice President Dick Cheney. A lawyer by training, she has held several government positions, including serving as Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for Near Eastern Affairs, and as General Counsel for the Department of Transportation. Sounds useless, like a ” Regional Manager” position like in the OFFICE tv show (per Dunderpedia). Liz is the embodiment of the “Karen” who asks always to ” see a manager”.
During her time with the State Department, Cheney was deeply involved in the George W. Bush administration’s efforts to build a case for war against Iraq. In particular, she was involved in preparing Colin Powell’s now-infamous 2003 speech to the United Nations, which made the false case that Saddam Hussein’s regime possessed “massive quantities of chemical weapons” and an “active program to develop biological weapons.” And we now know that there was never any of those. She lied!
In 2004, Cheney published In My Time: A Personal and Political Memoir, a book in which she claimed that Iraq’s alleged weapons of mass destruction were “easy to find.” They were not.

One of the most telling metrics of a politician’s reputation is how they’re perceived by their own base. And as far as Liz Cheney’s reputation with conservatives is concerned, it’s…well, it’s pretty bad.
Take her views on war, for example. Like her father, she is a hardline warmonger.
Like most Rinos, she votes with Republicans, on many things. She does this to blend in, and to hide. But when it REALLY MATTERS, conservatives do not have her support at all. Liz will throw them to the wolves. She has stunted the Republican Party since the 2016 election—and has been largely responsible for their inability to pass any significant legislation over the past two years. She voted to IMPEACH Trump.
Why Is Cheney Running for Congress?
In short, Liz Cheney is running for Congress because her name recognition (and the Cheney name in general) is enough, she feels, to secure her a nomination in a Republican-dominated state like Wyoming. She thinks because of her January 6th committee, she will get support. But she will not. Because she LOST. She is a loser!
And, in theory, there’s nothing wrong with nepotism in politics. Politics is, after all, a rough-and-tumble game where anything goes. If you have enough money and name recognition to get elected, then more power to you and your family.
But in Cheney’s case, it just isn’t working. While the DICK Cheney name may be a famous name when it comes to winning a Republican primary, it’s a serious liability in a general election, where Democratic voters have a say, too. The Democrats will not even take her. Republicans have thrown him out also, as he is deep state.
And the fact is, Wyoming is not a Republican-dominated state. After all, Wyoming has a Democratic governor, a Democratic senator, and even a Democratic congressman, with a Democratic majority in both houses of the state legislature.
So, Why Is Her Campaign Failing?
First and foremost, Cheney is campaigning as Anti-Trump, which has repelled more moderate conservative voters and Independents. She started a January 6th investigation which was the lowest ratings ever. She appeared sanctimonious and spiteful!
The Bottom Line, shes a low energy loser!
For years, the Cheney name was affiliated with some of the most hardline and conservative establishment figures in American politics. Matt Gaetz called her the masthead of the establishment. And while her father served under George W. Bush, and her sister Liz served in the very unpopular now, Old Bush administration as well.
Her attempts to win an election in a state far outside of her political reputation have failed, and her political future is up in the air. She will never win a Congressional seat in Wyoming. She is going to be far removed from the halls of power that her father and sister once roamed. Her dreams of rising to become a political power player in her own right have fallen flat, and she’s just another low-energy loser who couldn’t get elected to anything. The elections were rigged and she had BIG GLOBALIST donations.
She lacks any charm and is low energy. Rarely does she look at the camera and if she does, you feel tired and bored.

Liz Cheney’s political career has been nothing short of a disaster. Her extreme anti-Trump platform and name recognition have failed to attract moderate voters, and she’s failed to secure the nomination in a now Republican-leaning state.
She’s well on her way to becoming a political afterthought, and her name will be forgotten unless she takes drastic action to distance herself from the extreme elements of the Rino Party. However, it’s unlikely that she’ll do this. It’s likely that we’ve seen the last of Liz Cheney, and it’s for the best.
